DETECTIVES investigating a man's death in Horton Bank Top have confirmed he died from a head injury.
The man, who has not been named and was in his 50s, was found in a flat at Ascot Parade on November 29.
Police and paramedics made the discovery after being called to the address to reports that someone had collapsed. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
"Following a post mortem, it has been found the victim, a man in his 50's died from a head injury. His death is being treated as unexplained and enquiries are continuing," said a police spokesman.
A 47-year-old man arrested in connection with the incident remains on police bail.
