Three teenage girls were trapped in an overturned car on Cooper Lane, Bradford, this afternoon as its driver fled the crash.
The girls, aged 16, 17 and 18, were abandoned at the scene by the driver of the maroon Nissan Juke, who is being hunted by police after running away down nearby Mandale Road.
The accident happened at 2.39pm and involved the Nissan, thought to have been heading from the Halifax Road direction and a white Peugeot Partner van.
Eyewitness reported several police vehicles and ambulances at the scene although the road remained open.
A police spokesman said the driver who left the scene was possibly wearing a blue hooded tracksuit and carrying a dark coat.
The girls suffered only minor injuries and were taken to hospital for treatment.
