POLICE are investigating a shooting on a Bradford estate last night.

Gunshots were heard by residents in Dorchester Crescent, Holme Wood, shortly before 10pm.

Police attended the scene and cordoned off an area of the street.

A West Yorkshire Police spokesman confirmed they were investigating what was believed to be a firearms discharge. He said damage appeared to have been caused to windows of a house, but nobody had been injured.

A red car was spotted in the area at the time and police later received a report of a red Volkswagen Golf GTi being abandoned in Hudson Avenue, Canterbury, Bradford, with two people seen running away from it.
