POLICE are hunting a male driver involved in a "serious" two-car crash in Bradford that left a woman needing hospital treatment.
The woman had to be cut free from her car by fire crews from Bradford and Fairweather Green following the incident on Fairbank Road, off Whetley Lane, just after 9.20pm last night.
An ambulance took the woman, who is in her 20s, to Bradford Royal Infirmary for treatment to her injuries, which are not thought to be serious.
She was trapped in a blue Ford Focus which had been in a collision with a blue VW Golf.
A spokesman for West Yorkshire Police said this morning that both cars had been recovered from the scene, but confirmed that the male driver of the Golf had fled on foot.
He is described as an Asian male, aged between 20 and 25, wearing a black cap, and police believe he may have suffered injuries to his hand.
Officers have contacted local hospitals but said the man has yet to be traced.
Photographs of the scene posted on social media last night showed the damaged cars surrounded by emergency services personnel.
Anyone with information about the incident or the whereabouts of the male driver is asked to contact police on 101.
