A BRADFORD business has raised £10,200 for sick children through a recycling initiative.

OfficeXpress at Roydsdale Way in the city will give the money from recycling toners to help refurbish areas of Leeds Children's Hospital at the LeedsGeneral Infirmary site, which treats patients from across Yorkshire and further afield.

Sharon Evans, fundraising development manager for the Leeds Children's Hospital Appeal, said: "A big thank you to OfficeXpress for their amazing donation, this will enable us to improve the hospital environment in some of our Paediatric Outpatient areas, creating a calming and family friendly atmosphere for our young patients and their families."

The fundraising initiative will continue, said Tim Beech, managing director of OfficeXpress.

"This initiative has real meaning to all the team at OfficeXpress," he said.

"We all have involvement with children; most of us have a connection with the local NHS facilities and we are all motivated to seek out recycled toners from our customers to help such a worthwhile cause. We are delighted that we can make such a positive impact on so many young lives that are touched by the great staff and volunteers at Leeds Children's Hospital."
