SOCIAL housing group Incommunities is looking for its top tenants. There are just two weeks to go for people to nominate their neighbours for a Star Award.

The deadline for entries is Friday, July 17, with prizes handed out at a presentation ceremony on September 14 at The Bradford Hotel.

There are seven categories in total. Some recognise those who are green fingered, with prizes for the best individual garden, the best communal garden, the best makeover of an overgrown plot and someone under 16 who has proved themselves a great gardener.

Other awards go to the community-minded. The Community Star award is for someone who has helped make their neighbourhood a better place, and the Rising Star award is for someone aged 21 or under who has improved their neighbourhood.

And the final award is for an Incommunities team or staff member who has made a positive difference to other peoples’ lives.

To nominate, visit incommunities.co.uk or call 01274 254104.
