Travellers who rolled in and set up camp at Buck Lane, Baildon, have been served with eviction orders.
A convoy of caravans, flat-bed trucks and other vehicles drove around concrete blocks designed to stop access to Bradford Council-owned Buck Lane site.
A group of travellers has also occupied the coach park in Esholt.
Councillor Val Townend (Con, Baildon) said she had received non-stop phone calls from concerned residents since the travellers arrived on Wednesday.
She said: “I’m really delighted that after contacting them on Wednesday evening the Council have acted so speedily and efficiently. They are serving eviction papers on them with a view to moving them off.”
Councillor Andrew Thornton, Bradford Council’s executive member for environment and sport, said: “A legal notice has been served on the travellers occupying the Buck Lane site.”
