Bradford’s Gareth Gates is returning to home turf in Momentous Musicals, described as “a sophisticated homage to musical theatre”.

Gareth, who has starred in such shows as Les Misérables and Legally Blonde, is headlining the tour alongside West End stars Rachael Wooding, John Owen-Jones and Ashleigh Gray.

Also appearing is Bronté Barbé, who was a finalist on BBC1’s Over the Rainbow, and rising star Maggie Lynne.

The show features new arrangements of classic and recent musical theatre numbers, including Let Me Be Your Star from US TV series Smash, What I Did For Love from A Chorus Line and One Day More from Les Misérables.

After selling more than three million singles in the UK, Gareth went on to carve a career in musical theatre, with recent roles including Warner in last year’s tour of Legally Blonde and Eddy in Loserville at the West Yorkshire Playhouse.

Earlier this year he was at St George’s Hall starring alongside The Osmonds in a concert version of Seventies musical Boogie Nights.

Momentous Musicals is at the Alhambra Theatre on Monday, July 22. For tickets ring (01274) 432000.
