A RIDDLESDEN couple who began tutoring children in their kitchen have become so popular they are now opening a tuition centre in Keighley.

Mohammed Nadeem and Romana Tariq, who are both teachers, have been tutoring children from their home for the past couple of years.

Following the early success of the venture, LBC Tuition, they converted their garage into a small classroom.

After picking up almost 50 pupils they have been forced to move again, and on April 21 host the first open day at their new premises at 26 Devonshire Street.

Romana said: “Due to the success we have had with our ever-growing client base we have outgrown our garage/classroom and are now in the process of opening the new Tuition Centre.

“We have both been teaching been teaching in schools for over 10 years. Parents of the children we taught in schools often asked us to tutor their children but we never pursued it until a couple of years ago.

“We started to gain more interest through recommendations so decided to convert our garage into a small classroom.

“More and more parents recommended us and currently we have around 50 children coming to us regularly.

“We have had lots of success in terms of our students passing their GCSEs and year 2/6 SATs, and also passing entrance exams for our local grammar schools.

“We also specialise in supporting children with special educational needs which has also been a success with parents reporting on the rapid progress these children have made.”
