VOLUNTEERS are being sought to help with a clean-up at Haworth churchyard.
The venture is planned for Monday, March 27 – ahead of two major events in the village.
Residents, traders and others interested in helping out are invited to go along to the churchyard anytime between 10am and 5.30pm
Tasks will include cutting back vegetation, clearing and bagging-up leaves and rubbish and working on steps and paths.
"Because the day is being run on a drop-in basis volunteers can just give half an hour's time at any point," said Liz Parker, of Keighley area co-ordinator's office.
Traders got together for two clean-ups last autumn, also raising funds for new litter bins in the Bronte Village car park.
The latest initiative has been organised in advance of the visit to the Keighley & Worth Valley Railway of the legendary Flying Scotsman and the arrival in Haworth of the Tour de Yorkshire cycle race on April 30.
