A NEW gravestone has been provided by the Commonwealth War Graves Commission for a Keighley soldier who died during the First World War.
Private Ivor Tempest Greenwood died of typhoid fever and pneumonia within three weeks of joining the Army in 1914.
The gravestone has now been installed at Utley cemetery and a dedication ceremony is being planned by the Men of Worth group.
Pte Greenwood's name has also been added to the Commission's Perpetual Roll of Honour, the official list of First World War casualties.
The soldier had lived in Highfield and was a member of All Saints Church Bible class. He is also named on the church’s war memorial window.
