LIVE music and fairy-themed fun are part of another busy weekend of events taking place across the Bradford district.

There will be a sprinkling of magic dust in the air at Holden Park tomorrow for the Oakworth Fairy Festival.

The event will feature live singers and dancers with adults and children looking magical in their fairy costumes at the park in Chapel Lane.

There will also be stalls and grottoes at the festival, which will run from 12pm to 6pm.

The New Inn in Thorton will be holding a charity event to raise money for the Multiple Sclerosis Society.

Carole Marsden, who has had MS for more than a decade, has organised the event with help from friends and family.

There will be more than 100 raffle prizes up for grabs, a live DJ, and lots of stalls and activities at the fundraiser will last from 12pm until late.

Rastrick Library, in Crowtrees Lane, will be holding a free children’s model making session from 10am to 1pm.

Local band Issimo will also be celebrating the release of their new album with a performance at The Underground bar in Duke Street.

Tickets for the show are available for £5 from yorkshireticketshop.co, or for £6 on the door, with the show beginning at 7.30pm.

On Sunday, Bradford fire station will be holding an open day from 11am to 4pm in aid of the Firefighters Charity.

People can visit the station in Leeds Road to see a variety of demonstrations, with children’s rides and games.

Keighley Fresh Aire festival will be taking place at Cliffe Castle Museum from 11am to 7.30pm.

There will be live entertainment throughout the day in the museum grounds, with some performances taking place inside Cliffe Castle.

Eccleshill Bowling Club will be celebrating its centenary at the club in Stone Hall Road.

The Lord Mayor will be attending the event at 2pm, with the celebrations running from 12pm to 7pm.

Ilkley Summer Festival will also continue this weekend, with musical events taking place tomorrow, and Ilkley real food market on Sunday.

Cabaret in The Grove and Big Weekend in The Grove will be providing entertainment tomorrow, with cabaret beginning at 6.30pm, and tickets costing £14 per person.

The market will run from 10.30am to 3pm in South Hawkesworth Street.
