WORKERS from Asda's head office in Leeds really dug their community work in Braithwaite.
The supermarket staff carried out a team challenge at the community allotment off North Dean Road as part of the Participate Projects Corporate Volunteering scheme.
During the day they cleared ground for a community shelter, removed a dock leaf infestation, and planted vegetables.
They also created a set of steps and pathways between the raised beds, and carried out weeding to reveal fruit-bearing trees and bushes.
Keighley community development worker Pip Gibson (pictured) said: "A huge amount of hard labouring was carried out by this small team of eager volunteers. They truly were amazing."
