'TIME for a Cuppa’ is the title of a special fundraising morning tomorrow at the Moravian Church, Baildon, organised to raise funds for Dementia UK.

Churchgoer Liz Simpson, 75, had the idea after watching a daytime television often aimed at a younger generation.

“I was watching Loose Women and saw an item on the ‘Time for a Cuppa’ campaign in aid of people with dementia and thought it was such a good idea that I sent off for a package of posters and information,” said retired personnel officer Mrs Simpson.

“Dementia is something which seems to be affecting everyone in some way or another, either personally or through relatives.

“Several members of our church have suffered from, or are suffering with it and so a little group of us have got together to organise the event “There will be tea, coffee and cakes from 10am until 12pm and we will also have a raffle and a bric-a-brac store.

“And whatever gets raised or donated will go straight to the charity,” Mrs Simpson said.
