A PARISH council is again inviting people to have a direct say in how it spends some of its cash, after last year’s initiative saw grants enable the cricket club to buy a new line marker, the under fives pre-school to buy a computer, and the village football club to get Charter Standard First Aid bags.
Oxenhope Parish Council will operate the participatory budgeting scheme, allowing people to get involved with spending decisions.
A spokesman said: “Council members strongly believe repeating the process will be a very effective way of giving people an opportunity to say what they want.”
Last year’s grants also allowed the Friends of Oxenhope School to train more volunteers to become reading partners.
Bids for grant applications close on March 4.
