A 40-YEAR-OLD Riddlesden man died after being struck by a train.
Philip Blackburn was pronounced dead at the scene following the incident, near Crossflatts Railway Station.
An inquest into the death of the computer service engineer – who lived at Canal Road – was opened in Bradford on Tuesday morning, and adjourned pending further inquiries.
British Transport Police are investigating the incident, which happened last Thursday afternoon, but say there are no suspicious circumstances.
Emergency services were called to Morton Beck Under-bridge at 3.23pm.
The railway line was closed between Keighley and Shipley for several hours, causing major disruption to services.
Train operator Northern Rail said it organised a temporary replacement bus service between the two stations.
