Rehearsals for Ilkley Grammar School’s upcoming production of Penny Lane
MEMORIES of the Beatles will be evoked in a school’s play.
Rehearsals are well under way for Ilkley Grammar School’s upcoming production of Penny Lane.
Based on a story of five girlfriends who gradually grow apart and then come back together, Penny Lane spans a storyline from 1960s childhood to 1990s adulthood. Their stories are played out against a backdrop of Beatles songs.
Performances on February 9, 10 and 11. Tickets are £5, or £3 concessions, and are available from the school.
