ARMED robbers got away with cash when they struck at a Morrisons store.

One of the balaclava-clad men walked into the M Local store on Bolton Bridge Road, Ilkley, at about 10.53pm on Saturday and demanded money from the tills, while the other stood at the door to the shop with what's believed to be a crowbar.

They stole £100, and are believed to have escaped on foot along a footpath leading past Ilkley Bowling Club and the Clarke Foley Centre, towards Cunliffe Road.

Both were believed to be white. One was stocky, about 6ft tall, possibly in his 30s, and was wearing a blue hooded top, black trousers, a black balaclava and black gloves. He was said to have white or blond eyebrows.

The other man was about 6ft 4in tall, of very stocky build, wearing a long sleeved waist length khaki jacket and dark trousers.

A West Yorkshire Police spokesman said the attack was not being linked to a recent robbery at a filling station convenience store in Ben Rhydding.

Anyone with information on the robbers is asked to contact police by calling Call police on 101.
