PUBLIC toilets next to White Wells, Ilkley Moor, are an essential service for the tourist town, it has been claimed.
Bradford Council has been in discussions with parish and town councils, and other community organisations, about possible local management of various toilet blocks around the district.
Members of Ilkley Parish Council said that the toilets were an important facility for visitors to the moor.
Ilkley Civic Society chairman, Helen Kidman, told parish councillors White Wells toilets were a “vital service”.
The Friends of Ilkley Moor have also expressed their concern.
