Bradley pupils join walk-to-school initiative

Cool Cat escorts pupils Niamh Kirwin, Sophie Cimmonite, Charlotte McInnes and Amelia Boyes to school
An orange cat made a surprise appearance at Bradley Primary School to escort youngsters in a new walk-to-school initiative.
Cool Cat, a mascot loaned to the school’s PTA by Blackpool Council, where two parents work, helped to spread the message of Walk to School week, which has the goal of promoting healthier habits, encouraging physical activity, conserving the environment and easing congestion.
It is the school’s ambition to encourage parents and children to walk to school at least once a week and to run an initiative WOW - Walk On Wednesday, resulting in more children walking to school or using the ‘park and stride’ points at the village hall and Bradley Methodist Church car parks.
