Distance runner George Bingham is to run the London Marathon with a 14-ft model of the Angel of the North on his back.
Mr Bingham, 49, of Stanbury, near Keighley, carried the model in the Great North Run and established a record for wearing the tallest costume.
Now he is preparing to run the London race, on Sunday, April 25, to raise £42,196 for Manorlands, the Sue Ryder Care hospice at Oxenhope, near Keighley.
Mr Bingham said: “When I carried the angel in the Great North Run, it hit me how difficult the task was that I’d set myself and now I’m about to attempt it double.”
