A young football team raised £600 to thank cancer nurses at Airedale NHS Foundation Trust for the top care they gave to one of their biggest fans.
Oakworth Juniors Football Club had two major charity events in aid of the Haematology Oncology Day Unit (HODU) after Sue Hewitt, the wife of their club secretary Richard, was treated for breast and ovarian cancer.
The events were a fundraising party to celebrate Sue’s 50th birthday and a charity match with former players to mark the opening of a new club house.
