These kind-heated school pupils have put together packs of toiletries for the homeless.
Students at Dixons Allerton Academy in Bradford decided they wanted to do something positive for their community and turned to the Telegraph & Argus for inspiration, looking through papers to see who most needed their help.
They decided to create kits of essential toiletries for people who were homeless or in crisis in the city. They encouraged classmates to donate items to the ‘We Care Kits’, and put together more than 60 bags.
One of the pupils involved, Abigail Berry, said: “We have had a fantastic response from students and staff.
“We would like to continue creating the kits throughout the year.”
