African drumming, singing, dancing and comedy sketches featured in a school charity event in aid of Yorkshire Cancer Research.
The annual fundraiser, dubbed The Pink Event, was organised by year 12 students at South Craven School in Cross Hills and raised £1,700.
This year, pupils from years 12 and 13 dedicated their dramatic performances to the memory of Jetta Kennedy, a teacher who died last Christmas after a battle against cancer.
Student Kelly Cheung said: “Jetta was dedicated to the welfare of her students and many achieved far more than they believed they could with her help and support.”
Head teacher Dr Andrew Cummings said The Pink Event was about raising awareness as well as money.
He said: “It sums up the best things about South Craven School, one being the commitment to fundraising.”
