A free adventure sports taster will be on offer for young people visiting the Yorkshire Dales National Park next week.
The event, in Grassington on Bank Holiday Monday, is being organised by Go Dales!, a project run by the national park to encourage under-25s to take up outdoor activities.
From 10am until 4pm, people will be able to try their hand at simulated kayaking, caving and climbing using a mobile climbing wall, manned by qualified and professional outdoor instructors.
Go Dales! Project Officer Kath Needham said: “The aim of this event is to make young people feel inspired enough to venture out and try a new outdoor activity for themselves.
“In addition, people may be able to apply for subsidised activity courses run in September and October.”
