A festival celebrating wildflowers in the Yorkshire Dales will start with a buzz this Easter with the chance to watch honey bees at work.
Kilnsey Park will host the first Flowers of the Dales Festival events of 2010, including an opportunity to see honey bees at work in an observation hive and a walk to discover rare orchids and other species of flowers in a site of special interest.
The Flowers of the Dales Festival aims to promote the habitats and species found in the Dales. For details of this year’s festival, run by the Yorkshire Dales Millennium Trust, visit ydmt.org.
