Oxfam’s 100km Trailtrekker challenge returns to Skipton later this year.
The walking challenge, described as a test of endurance, made its debut in the town last year when 166 teams of four took part and raised £385,000.
Now Oxfam is asking people to challenge themselves to take part in Trailtrekker 2010. The event will take place on Saturday, June 5, and Sunday, June 6, and will start and finish at Aireville School, in Gargrave Road, following a route through the Yorkshire Dales.
Teams of four will trek through day and night, with the aim of completing the course in under 30 hours.
“It’s an amazing experience that combines endurance, navigation, determination and teamwork,” said James Terry, Oxfam’s sponsored-events manager.
