More than 50 motorists were stopped by officers from the Tong and Wyke Neighbourhood Policing Team during a police action day.
A total of 48 drivers were given fixed penalty notices for a range of offences including not wearing seatbelts, having illegal number-plates and not having an MOT certificate.
A further four drivers were given points on their licence as well as a fine for using a hand-held mobile phone while driving.
Officers from the Tong and Wyke NPT and Special Officers from Bradford South division targeted areas including Sticker Lane, Cleckheaton Road and Huddersfield Road yesterday.
PC Oliver Bentley, who led the operation, said: “We will keep conducting these operations until the message gets across to drivers in Bradford that breaking traffic laws is not acceptable and will not be tolerated.”
