A disused building at a Bradford secondary school has been turned into a building site to help pupils gain an insight into the construction industry.
Tong High School is working with building and civil engineering company Moortown Construction on a new course, aimed at introducing pupils to careers in the sector.
As well as offering work placements, the company has donated equipment and supplies to the school, including hard hats, high-visibility jackets, bricks, doors, trowels and mortar.
Head teacher Stephen Curran said: “We’re delighted to be working with Moortown to deliver an innovative scheme to develop our students who want a career in the construction industry.”
