Pupils have become keyed up with the latest technology to improve their writing skills at a Bradford primary school.
Year Five pupils at Frizinghall Primary, in Salisbury Road, are involved in a pilot project, using computer ‘notebooks’ – small laptops – during a literacy hour each day. The scheme was partially funded by one of the school’s partners, Challenge College, also in Frizinghall, and has been put to use to write poems about the snow.
Head teacher Pauline Chilvers said: “By having this resource available for each child it is hoped that writing will improve.
“The use of editing tools means that ideas can be developed and improved upon without having to painstakingly rewrite by hand.”
