A man who verbally abused a Police Community Support officer in Buttershaw before running off has been fined £80.
The 24-year-old was arrested and given the fixed penalty notice for disorder after the officer recognised him following the abuse on Thursday and went to his home.
A spokesman for the Neighbourhood Policing Team in Bradford South said: “This happened in a public place with members of the public around.
“The man ran off before his details could be obtained, but luckily the officer knew who he was. He was arrested and charged with a public order offence, resulting in him being issued a £80 fine.
“We will not tolerate any abuse directed at our officers and will deal with those responsible swiftly.”
