Four men have been remanded in custody for crown Court trial after appearing on a drugs conspiracy charge.
Mohammed Ilyas, 32, of Poplar Avenue, Great Horton, and Ansar Iqbal, 27, of Devonshire Street West, Keighley, appeared before Leeds Magistrates’ Court with two men from Slough and London yesterday.
They faced a charge of conspiring together to supply a quantity of class A drug between July 29 last year and April 24 this year. The charge relates to two seizures of cocaine, with a street value of £150,000, made by police.
Prosecutor Alex Johnson told Deputy District Judge Michelle Jeffreys that the offence was indictable only and he applied for all matters to be sent to the Crown Court.
Solicitors for the defendants did not apply for bail.
Another man from Slough is due to face the same charge next week.
