Traders in Bingley have called for a new town centre manager to be appointed following the retirement of the previous post holder in May.
Bradford Council has not confirmed whether it plans to fill the role and has said a decision will not be made until later this year. Former town centre manager David Dinsey, 66, filled the role for 14 years.
Jamie Illingworth, president of Bingley Chamber of Trade, said the post was important to town traders and he hoped a decision could be made sooner rather than later.
