Police are hunting a motorist who may have unwittingly knocked a young boy off his scooter.
The 11-year-old was hit by a small blue car, which failed to stop, in Foldings Parade, Scholes, Cleckheaton, at around 5.30pm on Saturday.
The youngster was taken to hospital for treatment to a broken leg.
PC Andy Barron, from Safer Roads and Protective Services, said: "The driver of the car may not be aware that the boy was knocked from his scooter and subsequently sustained a serious injury to his leg.
“I am appealing for the driver, or anyone one else who may have information, to contact me on 101 quoting the reference number 1213 of the 20th September 2014."
