TWO female walkers who found the body of a man in woods tried to resuscitate him for 45 minutes.
Paramedics from the Yorkshire Air Ambulance rushed to the scene after the women raised the alarm. The medical team attempted to revive the man, but he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Land ambulance crews, police and a team from Upper Wharfedale Fell Rescue Association also attended. The deceased was aged 55 and from Bingley.
The incident happened at Sharp Haw, Skipton, shortly after midday on Monday.
Fell Rescue members remained at the scene until they were asked to recover the body by North Yorkshire Police.
