A "DANGEROUS," derelict building in the centre of Shipley could soon be converted into a development of flats.
Beckwith Properties has submitted a planning application to Bradford Council to turn a former commercial building on Atkinson Street, just off Westgate, into six apartments.
The building has been empty for almost 17 years, and signs on its boarded up windows describe it as a "dangerous building."
The proposal would see an extension built on the side of the property, and a new penthouse floor created on the top.
There will be three one bedroom flats and three two bedroom flats.
Plans to turn the upper floors of a neighbouring building, 11 - 19 Westgate, into flats was approved by Council planners last year.
