A CONVENIENCE store was damaged last night after a fire broke out in its roof space.
Just before 11pm fire crews from Keighley and Bingley were dispatched to the single storey building on Hainworth Wood Road in Keighley after reports of a fire.
When they arrived they found that the building was unoccupied at the time, and that the fire was restricted to the shop's roof space. They had to force their way into the locked building.
Other areas of the shop suffered from smoke damage.
The crews spent several hours at the property dealing with the fire and making the building safe.
The cause of the blaze is still under investigation.
