THE Shipley branch of the Labour Party has agreed to back Jeremy Corbyn to remain its leader.
The Constituency Labour Party met to debate who would be better suited to lead the party, Mr Corbyn (pictured) or rival Owen Smith.
Speaking at the meeting was Joe Riches, Yorkshire and Humber and regional organiser, in support of Mr Corbyn and Louise Hague, Sheffield Heeley MP and a supporter of Mr Smith.
The group discussed the policies of both candidates before members voted to nominate Mr Corbyn by 78 to 45.
The deadline for all Labour constituency parties to submit their nominations is Monday, August 15.
