A FORMER care home which closed earlier this year will tomorrow go under the hammer at auction.
The mansion, which housed St Ives Disabled Care Centre at Harden, is being sold by property consultancy Allsop, with more than 240 other lots, at the Cumberland Hotel in London.
The guide price is £400,000-plus.
The care home, on the St Ives estate, shut in April after Elder Homes Bingley Ltd went into administration.
The 28 residents were rehomed.
Pam Laking, chairman of the Friends of St Ives, said she had concerns about what might become of the building.
"It's at the heart of the estate," she said.
"We very much hope the buyer will be sympathetic and realise the home's importance to the whole estate."
