ONLY one official complaint has been made about food at Bradford Royal Infirmary (pictured) or St Luke's Hospital in the last three years.
A Freedom of Information Response also showed that the budget for providing meals at the two centres, run by Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, remained at £1.1 million over the last three years.
Excluding breakfasts served directly to patients by ward and nursing staff, there are on average 43,542 meals dished up every month at the two hospitals.
In January this year there were 5,367 meals recorded as being "untouched" with food waste being collected and disposed of in special food digesters which use natural micro organisms to break it down.
The last official complaint specifically about the Trust's food was in 2012/13.
Andrea Dalton, from the trust, said: "We are continually striving to improve the patient choice, quality of our menus, and to drive up standards at all of our hospitals."
Meanwhile Airedale NHS Foundation Trust spends £3.60 on meal ingredients per patient per day.
While there have been no formal complaints made about its food over the past three years.
