ESSENTIAL road bridge maintenance is forcing closure of the Bingley bypass from the Bankfield Mercure Hotel roundabout to the Crossflatts roundabout for four nights starting on Monday, April 4.
Repairs to a section of road bridge above South Bog mean that stretch of the A650 will be closed between 10pm and 6am daily with work due to finish on Friday morning, April 8.
Alternative routes from Bradford will be via Bradford Road through Bingley Main Street, Keighley Road, and the B6265 and vice versa.
A Bradford Council spokesman said the reason for the restrictions is to allow repair to the bridge's expansion joints above both carriageways.
