POLICE are investigating after a car was damaged and abandoned in the Windhill area of Shipley last night.
The Jaguar S-Type was said to be "smoking" as it was dumped in Briggate shortly before 11.10pm, subsequently blocking the road.
It is believed the car had hit some other vehicles and also crashed into a fence.
A member of public reported that three men had abandoned the car, and ran off towards Valley Road.

Following a search by police, including the use of the police helicopter, three teenagers - two aged 17, and a 16 year-old - were spoken to, before later being eliminated from inquiries.
Police are continuing to investigate the incident is continuing, and anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101, or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
