The air ambulance is in attendance at the scene of a four-vehicle smash which has closed Cottingley Moor Road, Cottingley, in both directions.
The accident happened at about 3.20pm, around school closing time, and involved a silver Volkswagen Golf, a red Renault Megane coupe, a silver Volkswagen Golf, a grey Volkswagen Beetle and a white Mercedes-Benz Sprinter van.
A witness said one of the cars had "spun over in the air and landed on its roof".
Police had no details of casualties but confirmed the air ambulance was in attendance. They said the road was closed at both ends.
