A MULTIPLE Sclerosis charity in Bradford will celebrate its 60th anniversary in style with a pampering day.

Bradford MS Society’s event will include a number of treats arranged for people with, or affected by MS, or those who want to find out more on the condition.

Visitors can be pampered with stalls offering Indian head massage, Bowen Technique – a complementary holistic therapy – hand massage and jewellery-making sessions. Information and advice will be available from a number of charities including the Bradford MS Society, Equality Together, Carers’ Resource and the Lifeline Project.

Taster sessions of seated exercise and seated yoga will also be held.

Equality Together will also run a workshop on benefits, with tips for filling out application forms and attending hearings.

The event will be officially opened by the Lady Mayoress of Bradford, Chris Reid. A free lunch will be provided for all those who attend.

Bradford MS Society committee member Helen Howes, who has the condition, said: “We are delighted to be marking such a landmark anniversary and hope that as many people as possible join us to celebrate in style.”
