A BRADFORD doctor’s practice has received a good care ranking in a national inspection.

Dr Aamer Khan, who works at The Lister Surgery and City Medical Practice in Bradford, was rated as good in the Care Quality Commission’s (CQC) latest report.

The City Medical Practice at Whetley Medical Centre, Saplin Street, was one of 63 practices across the country that had assessments published by the watchdog yesterday.

Under CQC’s new programme of inspections, all of England’s GP practices are being given a rating to see if they are safe, effective, caring, responsive and well led.

The visit to City Medical Practice took place in November last year.

Mohammed Shaid, practice manager, paid tribute to Dr Khan and the staff at City Medical Practice.

He said: “It’s great.”
