FANS, officials and survivors stood in silent reflection at Valley Parade today as Bradford City held their own memorial service to mark the 30th anniversary.
Hundreds of people gathered at the ground's fire memorial for the 3pm service to honour the milestone anniversary of the blaze.
The poignant service, led by Rev Andy Grieff, remembered the 54 Bantams fans and two Lincoln City supporters who died on May 11, 1985.
Shirts and pendants from clubs across UK, including West Ham and Celtic, were left among the dozens of floral tributes.
The ground's main stand was also opened yesterday to allow supporters time to pause and reflect within the stadium.
Speaking during the service, Rev Grieff, Bradford City Chaplain, said: "We remember with love and respect all who are named in their memorial."
Fans who were at the ground on the fateful day also attended and remembered the fire.
Bob Abbott, now 59, of Livingstone Close, Wrose, said: "It's always emotional. We live with it forever.
"Today it hit me hard.
"For two years after the fire, I would stick the video of it on at home and cry."
