Bradford Telegraph and Argus: Schools nomination bar

This category can include caretakers, support assistants, school crossing patrol people and other non-teaching staff.

It is aimed at those who always give exceptional service and make a real difference to their educational establishment through their work.

As invaluable as the teaching staff are to any school - and let's face it, there would be no schools without them - the fact is they aren't the entire story when it comes to any educational establishment.

For this category we want to hear about those who keep the school running, the non-teaching staff who oil the cogs and prime the machine that is any school, the ones without whom the job would be a lot harder.

They might be very much in the background or they might be a hugely visible presence. Either way, the school will have come to rely on them and they will regularly deliver outstanding service in their particular field.

School crossing patrols, caretakers, teaching assistants, office staff... anyone who is not a teacher but who nevertheless makes the school tick, we want to know all about them and what they do, and why they are absolutely invaluable. It's time these unsung heroes had their day.
