A 23-year-old man had skunk cannabis worth more than £5,000 in his home when drugs squad officers swooped, a court heard today.
Ahkhamad Mahmood, of Springcliffe, Manningham, Bradford, had 244 deals of the drug under the stairs and 35 in the living room.
In all, half a kilogram of skunk, with a street value of £5,146 was seized from the property, prosecutor Lesley Dickinson told Bradford Crown Court today.
Mahmood pleaded guilty to possessing cannabis with intent to supply on July 9 last year.
Judge Roger Scott ordered the forfeiture of the drug and £850 found under Mahmood's mattress.
Gerald Hendron, Mahmood's barrister, said his client was a small-scale dealer funding his own habit. He had no previous convictions for drugs offence.
Judge Scott sentenced Mahmood to a suspended sentence supervision order for 12 months.
Breach of the order will mean six months' jail, the judge warned.
