A MAN on trial accused of repeatedly raping a 17-year-old girl has said the allegations against him are a “complete lie”.

Imran Khaliq, 38, denies two allegations of rape on January 27 this year.

Earlier in the trial, the jury at Bradford Crown Court has been told that Khaliq forced cocaine up the teenager’s nose, locked her in an attic bedroom in his house, seized her in a headlock and threatened to smash a bottle over her head.

When Khaliq, of Silverhill Drive, Bradford Moor, took to the stand on Wednesday, he denied giving the girl any cocaine and said he had not taken any on that day.

He said the girl had come into his bedroom and they had spent about 20 to 30 minutes talking.

He said she felt “sad about her family” and he got the impression she felt isolated.

When questioned by his defence barrister Glenn Parsons, Khaliq said the girl pushed him on the bed, removed his clothing and the bottom half of her clothing and the sex was “100 per cent with her consent”.

The court heard she became concerned afterwards that she would get pregnant.

“She was really, really angry,” he said. “She went in a massive tantrum.”

Khaliq said that allegations the had kept the teenager as a “prisoner” in his house were untrue.

The jury heard that the pair later went to McDonald’s and then to the Jinnah restaurant, where Khaliq spoke to someone inside.

He said the girl stayed in the car while he was in the restaurant and he then took her home.

According to Khaliq, the girl was still upset, but he consoled her and asked her to let him know she was all right.

He said he was “shocked” when he was arrested.

The trial continues.
