POLICE in Bradford are appealing for information after masked robbers wielded machetes and a hammer at takeaway staff.
Three men wearing balaclavas entered the rear of the China Rose Chinese takeaway premises, in Great Horton Road, Great Horton, at about 11pm on Sunday, and made demands for money.
The armed men, ordered members of staff to lie on the floor while an untidy search was made of the premises. They took a quantity of cash and then left the scene by the rear door into Ewart Street.
Nobody was injured.
The suspects are described as black males in dark tracksuits and gloves.
Detective Constable Andrew McManus, of Bradford District CID, said: "It is possible somebody would have seen these men acting suspiciously around the premises in the time leading up to the robbery or just after, so I would ask anyone with information to contact Bradford District CID on 101, quoting crime reference 13160133087, or the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111."
